Last updated 25 October 2026

This policy explains what information laurelhedging.net (“Laurel Hedging”, “we”) collects when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Information we collect

When you contact us. If you use our contact form we receive your name, email address and message. We use these only to reply to you, and we keep messages for no longer than 12 months.

When you browse. Like most websites, our web server records standard log information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working properly. It is not used to identify you.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work. Our advertising and affiliate partners, described below, may also set cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are used.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads based on your visits to sites across the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Amazon Associates Programme

Laurel Hedging is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies to record that you came from this site. Your purchase is handled entirely by Amazon under its own privacy notice.

Embedded content

Some pages include embedded YouTube videos, which we load in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may still collect data and set cookies once you play a video.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, please contact us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
